Compare Two Mechanics Frameworks
Examine the same mechanical problem from two theoretical perspectives. Enter numerical conditions, calculate results, inspect the equations, and distinguish numerical agreement from differences in theoretical description. The comparison identifies what each calculation establishes without treating a numerical result alone as proof of an entire framework.
1. Choose a comparison
2. Uniform velocity: travelling-distance comparison
Enter the same uniform velocity and duration. The calculation compares the travelling distance represented by each framework in this case.
Newtonian mechanics
s = vt
Distance is calculated from uniform velocity and elapsed time.
M4NA framework
For one uniform interval: S = VT
Accumulated travelling distance is represented as the sum of interval velocities multiplied by their respective durations.
2. Applied-force value and velocity
Enter two states from a proposed operation. The M4NA comparison examines whether the ratio of applied-force value to velocity remains the same across the two states. The Newtonian explanation describes the role of net force through acceleration, rather than asserting a universal direct proportionality between force and velocity.
M4NA framework
Compare f₁/v₁ with f₂/v₂.
The two entered states have the same ratio.
Newtonian mechanics
Fnet = ma
Newtonian mechanics relates net force to acceleration. It does not state a universal direct proportionality between applied-force value and velocity alone.
To calculate a Newtonian motion numerically, additional conditions may be needed, including mass, net force, initial velocity and operating time. The two entered M4NA states alone do not specify those conditions.
2. Applied-force quantity and travelling distance
This comparison examines the proposed M4NA relationship F = kS using two entered cases. The Newtonian calculation separately evaluates work done by a constant force aligned with displacement. These quantities have different definitions and units in the two frameworks, so their numerical values must not be treated as interchangeable.
M4NA: enter two cases
Newtonian mechanics: work calculation
M4NA framework
k = F/S, when S ≠ 0
The two cases can be examined for a matching value of k.
Newtonian mechanics
W = FNs
Work is measured in joules. This is not the same defined quantity as the M4NA force quantity F.
